Reddington, Terrence P.
By Canton CitizenTerrence P. Reddington, 66, passed away suddenly on November 12, 2024. Formerly of Canton and Needham, he was the beloved husband of Susan (Pineo) Reddington. Born in Levittown, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph T. and Rosemary J. (McGee) Reddington.
On October 17, 1981, at Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church in Newton, he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart and best friend Susan L. Pineo. Terry, a patented inventor, worked for many years as a business analyst for various companies.
Terry enjoyed golfing, listening to music, singing, attending concerts, and driving his pontoon boat on Webster Lake with his First Mate, Sue. But above all, he cherished the quality time that he spent with his 10 grandchildren (aka The Redding-10). Terry will be forever remembered for his quick wit and sarcasm.
A former Canton Citizen of the Year, Terry was a devoted father and active community member. He coached his children in multiple youth sports and volunteered at St. Gerard Majella, where he was a faithful parishioner. At Plymouth State, he was a founding member of Alpha Theta fraternity, creating lifelong friendships.
Terry’s legacy is one of service, connection, and a deep commitment to those around him. He had a rare gift of making anyone feel like the most important person in the room.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Susan Reddington; his children, Terrence P. Reddington, Jr. and his wife, Angela, of Abington, Dean M. Reddington and his wife, Ashley, of Mansfield, Jeffrey S. Reddington and his wife, Jasmine, of Mansfield, and Corinne R. Nowak and her husband, Michael, of Walpole; his siblings, Daniel J. Reddington and his wife, Jody Spiegel, of Sherman Oaks, CA, Richard F. Reddington and his wife, Debra, of Naugatuck, CT, Maureen A. Potter and Paul of Stamford, CT, and Katie Vaas and her husband, David, of Chester, NH; his mother-in-law Gloria F. Pineo of Needham; his sister in-law Terri Reddington; and his 10 grandchildren, Reagan, Austin, Layla, Sierra, Ava, Melanie, Whitney, Michael, Violet, and Terrence III. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph T. Reddington Jr. and his father-in-law, James W. Pineo.
