Brown, David F.

By

It is with the greatest and deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of David Francis Brown, Jr. David was at home with his beloved wife, Kathleen Oster Brown, enjoying the smell of a turkey roasting in the oven, while they prepared dinner for family and friends.

For those of you who knew David, you know that spending time with the people he loved was incredibly important. He had the biggest heart. He would give his last nickel to anyone who asked, the shirt off his back to ward off the cold, shelter from inclement weather, a meal for the hungry, a shoulder to cry on, and a much-needed laugh anytime someone was down. Oh that giggle! That crinkly eyed giggle will be missed every day.

David is survived by his wife, Kathy; his children, Daniel P. Brown of Stoughton, Lisa M. Brown of Canton, Michael Oster and his wife, Liz, of Watertown, and Jeffrey Oster and his wife, Jesica, of Upton; and two granddaughters, Taegan and Addison.

He will be missed by his mother, Carol A. Brown, of Medford, Maine, and will be greeted at the rainbow bridge by his father, David F. Brown Sr., along with all their furry friends. David also leaves behind three sisters, Christine R. George and her husband, David, of Canton, Laurie A. Yarmaloff and her husband, Alan, of Stoughton, and Kathleen L. Artesani and her husband, Charles, of Norton. David was the “Funcle” of many nieces and nephews and leaves them with so many irreplaceable memories and experiences.

David left an indelible mark on everyone who was lucky enough to know him. He was kindness personified and was one of the most selfless people you could ever know. Our hearts are heavy and we will miss him very much.
