Born in Dorchester on September 28, 1961, he attended St. Gregory School and Boston Latin School. He was an Eagle Scout from Troop 66. Tom graduated from Bentley College with a business degree and worked for many years at John Hancock Insurance/Manulife. He was an avid reader and interested in business, art and theatre, as well as an enthusiastic sports fan. Tom had a passion for world travel and explored many destinations across the globe.
He is survived by his sister Catherine Speicher and her husband, Greg, brother John Crowe and his wife, Tammy, and sister Mary Crowe. Tom was predeceased by his parents, Anna F. Crowe and William T. Crowe, and nephew Anthony W. Crowe, all of Dorchester Lower Mills. Tom leaves behind many family members in England, Ireland, South Africa, Australia and beyond.
A memorial service for Tom will be held on Saturday, February 22, from 3-6 p.m. in the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, Dorchester Lower Mills, with a blessing by Fr. Jack from 5-6 p.m. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 1, at 9 a.m. in St. Oscar Romero Church in Canton. Burial will be private at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
