Cogliano, Joseph H.
By Canton CitizenJoseph H. Cogliano, 86, a lifelong resident of Canton, passed away December 24 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.
Born and raised in Canton, he graduated from St. John’s School. He was the superintendent of Knollwood & Sharon Memorial Park for 40 years before retiring in 1990. He was a member of the American Legion Post #24 in Canton, the American Legion Band, and a former member of the Sons of Italy in Canton.
Beloved husband of the late Dorothy L. (Missler). Father of Dianne M. Lane and her husband, Richard, Michael T. Cogliano and his wife, Janet, and Maura A. McNeice and her husband, John, all of Canton, and Joseph H. Cogliano and his fiancé, Anne Bernazzani, of Sharon. He was the beloved son of the late Rose (Cirello) and Guiseppe Cogliano. Brother of the late Catherine Booth. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held Thursday, December 29, at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations may be made in his memory to the American Legion Post #24, 590 rear Washington St., Canton, MA 02021. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
