Connolly, William E.
By Canton CitizenWilliam E. Connolly, 91, of Wrentham, formerly of Foxboro and Canton, passed away December 26 at Pond Home in Wrentham after a long illness.
Born and raised in Boston, he graduated from Roslindale High School in 1938 and Boston College in 1947. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was the controller for Majilite Corp. in Woburn for 20 years, retiring in 1982. He also worked as a self-employed tax accountant for many years before retiring in 2001. He was a former member of St. Vincent de Paul Society in Canton, a trustee of the Boyden Library in Foxboro, and a former member of the New England Credit Managers Association.
Beloved husband of the late Frances E. (Flynn). Father of Edmund L. “Ned” of Sharon, Susan E. Harris of Wrentham, Richard J. of Sandwich, Virginia M. “Ginger” of Maine, Claire F. Copeland of E. Walpole, and William E. Jr. of Maine. Brother of Mary T. Mizejewski of WI, Frances E. Ericson of MN, Rita M. Keller of CA, and the late James F. and Arthur J. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and his special friend Marion Crowley of Foxboro.
Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street, Thursday, December 29, from 4-8 p.m. Funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, 130 South Street, Wrentham, Friday at 9 a.m. Burial private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory can be made to the Fiske Library, 110 Randall Rd., Wrentham, MA 02093, or Pond Home, 289 East St., Wrentham, MA 02093.
