Revere Heritage trust grateful for county support

On behalf of the Revere and Son Heritage Trust Corporation, I would like to very gratefully acknowledge the Norfolk County Commission’s award of $400,500 in support of the creation of the Paul Revere Museum of Discovery and Innovation in Canton.
The trust is a unique, quasi-governmental entity created by special act of the legislature to manage the Paul Revere Heritage Site in partnership with the town of Canton. The future home of the Paul Revere Museum of Discovery and Innovation rests on nine acres of parkland bounded by the east branch of the Neponset River, only one block from Canton’s downtown. The site has two historic structures — the Draft Horse Barn and the Revere Copper Rolling Mill — that the trust and the town have worked to restore as tourism and hospitality destinations serving the Boston metropolitan area.
The funds awarded by the Norfolk County Commission will support the trust’s efforts to repurpose the historic Draft Horse Barn with exhibits devoted to the Paul Revere Museum. The site will serve as a multi-faceted destination that includes the completely renovated historic Copper Rolling Mill that provides event and restaurant space for the community and beyond.
Once again, our sincerest thanks for your much needed financial assistance in supporting this one-of-a-kind project and to promote tourism and hospitality as economic drivers in the town of Canton, the region and the commonwealth.
