Dunn, Gregory R.
By Canton CitizenGregory R. Dunn, 74, of Stoughton, passed away February 26 after a 12-year battle with progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP).
Born in Boston, he was raised in Roxbury and South Boston. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving two combat tours in Vietnam. He was a commercial fisherman, working as an engineer on the FV Western Wave. He also owned his own business for many years, GR Dunn Roofing, before working for the Quincy Public Schools until his retirement.
Beloved husband of Linda S. (Onishi) for 43 years. Devoted father of Lauren Holtzman of Canton and Gregory J. Dunn of Stoughton. Grandfather of Gabrielle and Samantha Holtzman. Also survived by his brother, John, of Abington and sisters Beverly Nicholson of Raynham and Margaret Holak of Auburn. He also leaves a son, Joseph Dunn, of Natick, and a daughter, Corinna Halloran, of Quincy.
