DelCupolo, Alfred H.
By Canton CitizenAlfred H. DelCupolo, 83, of Canton, passed away February 17 at Boston Medical Center.
Born in Philadelphia, he was raised in Cambridge and attended Cambridge schools. He was the owner and operator of the Elm Ave. Barbershop in Quincy for over 30 years and later worked at Hal’s Barbershop in Canton for several years.
He was an active member of St. Anne’s Church in Quincy where he was a member of the Holy Name Society, president and secretary of the bowling league, and an usher. He was also a member of the K of C in North Quincy, Sons of Italy in Quincy, the Quincy Elks, and was formerly the assistant assessor for the city of Quincy.
He has lived in Canton for the last 27 years where he was a member of the K of C Council #2095 and a member of the Norwood Elks.
Beloved husband of Katherine A. (Athridge). Father of Mary Anne DelCupolo of Westwood. Grandfather of Alexandra DiCenso of FL. Brother of the late Virgil DelCupolo.
A funeral mass will be held Thursday, February 23, at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations may be made in his memory to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
