By Canton CitizenPhotos 1-3: St. John the Evangelist School students from Pam Adams’ first grade class shared their love with Canton senior citizens at the Senior Center on Valentine’s Day.
Photo 4: Students from Lauren Weidmuller’s class hosted the annual Grade 4 Valentine Tea. Students greeted guests, served refreshments, and entertained everyone with their own poems and songs.
Earlier this month, St. John’s celebrated the theme of “Faith, Academics, Service” during the 2012 Catholic Schools Week, starting with the school community participating and attending Mass on January 29. The students enjoyed fun activities, which included dressing in Patriots gear, eating ice cream, and a night free of homework.

Photo 7: Teri Tomasello from HESSCO Elder Services visits with the fourth grade class to thank them for being their partner in helping the quality of life for the elders of Canton. She explained how older citizens are helped by HESSCO, the Canton Senior Center, and the Meals on Wheels program.
