Roy W. Plant, 89, of Canton, passed away peacefully March 17 surrounded by his loving family.

Born and raised in Canton, he was the son of the late Frederick and Clara (MacKay) Plant. He graduated from Canton High School and Boston Trade School, and he was a decorated Marine Corps veteran of WWII, serving aboard the U.S.S. Wasp from 1943-1945. He worked as a supervisor for Keith Properties in Stoughton for 10 years and also worked at Draper Brothers in Canton for 15 years before retiring in 1985.

Beloved husband for 64 years of Alyce I. (Harkins). Father of Joyce R. (Flint) Pratt of Canton, Roberta L. (Flint) Gallagher of Mansfield, and Pamela J. Eckler and her husband, Richard, of Canton. Cherished Grampie of nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
