Manning, Philip D.

Philip D. Manning, of Canton, passed away March 21 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.

Born and raised in Hyde Park, he attended Boston schools and lived in Hyde Park until moving to Canton 19 years ago. He worked as a printer for Utica Mutual Insurance for many years before retiring.

Beloved husband of Rita S. Nicolan. Stepfather of Deborah Podgurski of Stoughton, Cheryl Nicolan of Canton, Melinda Cornelissen of Stoughton, Kenneth Nicolan of Norton, Clint Nicolan of Taunton, Ruth Cummins of CT, and the late John Hunt. Brother-in-law of Pauline Delgado of Fall River and Richard LePage of Cambridge. Also survived by 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass was held Friday morning, March 24, in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Randolph. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
