It’s time for Americans to work together

Dear Editor:

In response to the January 16 column titled “A Tale of 2 Presidents,” I found the information about these two presidents interesting. I learned something new about President Carter. Thank you.

However, I would like to hear more about the future. I would like to read about our politicians working together in both unifying our country and making it stronger and safer. When Congress works harder for us, the people of the U.S., instead of working harder for their political party, our country will be successful. The same goes for the citizens — half the country is happy about this election while the other half isn’t. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. We don’t have to like the results, but we do have to carry on.

We must work together. This is about making our country a safer and stronger nation. Let us be a model to the younger generation, showing them how to grow stronger together.
