Floral Scents to participate in Memorial Day flowers program
By Canton CitizenDear Editor:
On Monday, May 28, Memorial Day, Floral Scents of Canton is participating in the National Memorial Day Flowers program. Across the United States, 120 retail florists will hand out roses to visitors at their local cemeteries, and at Arlington National Cemetery 50,000 roses and 1,000 bouquets will be handed out.
Prior to the town of Canton’s Memorial Day services, Floral Scents will place a rose on all of the veterans’ graves in the veterans’ circle at Canton Corner Cemetery. In addition, Floral Scents will hand out over 300 roses to all visitors of the cemetery that day.
Each visitor will receive two roses: one to place on their loved one’s site and the other to take home in memory.
Floral Scents plans to be part of this program every year. It would mean a great deal to me, as a small business owner in Canton, if you would participate in spreading the word to help make this event a memorable one.
