Chai Center to host Jewish New Year Fair

Spend a fun and educational morning with the Chai Jewish Center in preparation for the holiday of Rosh Hashanah. This coming Sunday, September 9, the Chai Center will host a Jewish New Year Fair from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the brand-new Metro South Gymnastics Academy facility, located at 255 Revere Street in Canton.

A Shofar-making demonstration

The state-of-the-art gym will be open for children to tumble, jump, and play on the equipment and giant trampolines, with a special play area just for babies and toddlers. Children can choose from a variety of Rosh Hashanah crafts and activities and even make their own real Shofar horn! The Shofar-making process includes sawing, sanding, hollowing out, and shellacking a raw horn. The whole process is fascinating, with hands-on opportunities for everyone! Rosh Hashanah music and songs will complete this festive morning. Rosh Hashanah snacks will be provided as well.

The Chai Center offers complimentary High Holiday services with special services for kids, educational activities prior to each holiday, monthly library story and crafts, Jewish Birthday Club Gifts, Cultural Cooking Club, Bar & Bat Mitzvah lessons, and Hebrew tutoring for kids of all ages and abilities. The Chai Center does not charge membership fees! All are welcome regardless of background or affiliation.
