Madeline M. Kilgallon (Cooper), 82, of Canton, passed away at Norwood Hospital on November 5.

Born in Boston, she was raised in Brookline and attended St. Mary’s High School in Brookline. She worked as an administrative assistant for the American Red Cross and was a devoted housewife and mother. She was a member of the Wacky Women’s Wanderers Club in Norwood, an active member of the Canton Senior Center, and enjoyed playing cribbage every Wednesday night at the American Legion in Canton. She has lived in Canton since 1959.

Beloved wife of James J. Mother of Bruce A. and his wife, Karen, of Pembroke, J. Scott of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Maura J. Mayo and her husband, Matthew, of North Attleboro, and the late Nancy M. Grandmother of Katelin, Jennifer, James and Alice Kilgallon, and Madison and Mackenzie Mayo. Sister of John Cooper of Marshfield Hills and the late Blanche Dorsey, Clare Paquette, Jean Funk, Paul, Cyril, Edwin, Reginald, and Lawrence Cooper.

A funeral mass was held Wednesday, November 7, in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations may be made in her memory to the St. John School Foundation, 700 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021.
