Montisano, Margaret A.
By Canton CitizenMargaret A. Montisano (Aprea), 85, of Canton, passed away December 22 at Kindred Newton Wellesley Rehab in Wellesley.
Born in Boston, she was raised in Hyde Park and attended Boston schools. She had lived in Canton for the past 36 years and previously lived in Dedham. She was a devoted housewife and mother and previously volunteered as a lunchroom monitor for the Newton Public Schools.
Beloved wife of the late Francis J. Mother of Phyllis King and her husband, John, of Boston, Joseph Montisano and his wife, Audrey, of Pepperell, Francis J. Montisano II and his wife, Donna, of West Bridgewater, Susan Seguin and her husband, John, of Canton, and Joanne Hood and her husband, Scott, of NH.
Sister of Rose Wayne of CA, Alda “Ida” Carrozza and John Aprea, both of Canton, Frank Aprea of Wrentham, and the late Madeline Fiore, Nellie Olivero, Josephine Larkin, Anna Fitzmanns, Joseph, Rocco and George Aprea. Sister-in-law of Catherine Malcangio, Josephine Taramasco, Mary Schuldt, Teresa Chittum, Ann Strang, Albert and Carlo Montisano. Godmother of Mary Ann Lawrence of FL, Linda Carrozza of CA, and Robert Aprea of Westwood.
A funeral mass was held Monday morning, December 24, in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Burial Fairview Cemetery, Hyde Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
