Sumner Bauman, 87, late of Taunton and Canton, entered into rest December 31, 2012.

Born and raised in Dorchester, son of the late Morris and Lena Bauman. Beloved husband of Gladys (Johnson) Bauman and devoted father of Steven E. Bauman and his wife, Donna (Creed) Bauman, and daughter Wendy J. Bauman and her partner, Sharon Krieger. He was the loving grandfather of David Bauman and his fiancée, Kimberly Paige, Adam J. Bauman of Allston, Anika Krieger Bauman, and Daniel Krieger Bauman. Loving brother of Dorothy Wall and uncle of David Wall and Debra Bloom.

He was a veteran of World War II, and after his discharge he became an attorney. He practiced law in Canton for more than 50 years. He was active in the Masons and served as master of Brotherhood Lodge. Sumner was very active and enjoyed playing golf, boating and fishing.
