Sampson, Karen L.
By Canton CitizenKaren L. Sampson (Walker), 70, of Canton, passed away January 17 at home surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer.
Born and raised in Boston, she graduated from Dorchester High School. She has lived in Canton since 1978 where she and her husband, Frank, have owned and operated Queen Anne’s Catering and Sub Shop for many years. Family was everything to her. Karen’s love was endless as well as her will. Her biggest passion was her grandchildren. In them she will always shine. To know her was to be a part of her family, and all who knew her loved her.
Beloved wife of Francis X. Mother of Karen L. McCourt and her husband, JR, of Canton, Richard F. and his wife, Asia, of Canton, Helen M. Zade and her husband, Marc, of Brockton, Frances A. McSheffrey and her husband, Michael, of Brockton, and the late baby Francis X. Sister of Ruth Bailey of Stoughton, Louise Yee of NH, Leah Dingwell of Brockton, Steven Santos of Wareham, and the late Claire Nicholas, Wesley Walker, Richard Walker, and Williard Santos. Also survived by nine grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Monday morning, January 21, at Canton Corner Cemetery, followed by a celebration of Karen’s life at the Canton Town Club. Donations may be made in her memory to Heartbeats for Down Syndrome, 57 Margery Rd., Brockton, MA 02301.
