Vieira, Marion L.
By Canton CitizenMarion L. Vieira (Flanagan), 80, of Canton, passed away January 22 at the Harrington House in Walpole.
Born in Norwood, she was a lifelong resident of Canton. She attended St. John’s School and worked for Plymouth Rubber in Canton for 19 years before retiring in 1998. She was a member of the Canton Catholic Women’s Club and the Rubin Court Community Club.
Beloved mother of Marianne Schatvet of Norton, Kathleen Gillis of Brockton, Michael Vieira of RI, Maureen Vieira of Attleboro, Kristin Browne of Taunton, and the late William G. Jr. Sister of Teresa Gauthier of Charlton Depot, Maryann Wilson of RI, and the late John, Leo Jr. and Martin Flanagan. Also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street, Thursday, January 24, from 4-8 p.m. Funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton Friday at 12 noon. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton. Donations may be made in her memory to St. John School Foundation, 700 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021.
