Reader endorses Lynch for U.S. Senate

I’m writing to voice my support for Congressman Stephen Lynch in the upcoming special election to fill John Kerry’s seat. I’ve been following this election closely but didn’t know who I would support until I heard Stephen Lynch talking about his efforts to protect Social Security. Congressman Lynch calls Social Security a “sacred promise from one generation to the next.” He’s right. Social Security was not the cause of this country’s financial woes and should not be on the bargaining table as we look for solutions. The American people will be better served if we spend our time trying to rebuild the economy rather than hacking away at the very programs that made us the envy of the western world. Stephen Lynch will stand up for Social Security, and I am proud to stand up for Stephen Lynch.
