Gibbs, Margaret R.

Margaret R. Gibbs (Bucci), 86, of Plymouth, formerly of Canton, passed away at the Life Care Center in Plymouth April 11.

Born and raised in Canton, she graduated from St. John’s School in Canton and Fisher Jr. College. She worked with Stone & Webster in Boston and as an executive secretary for Raytheon for many years before retiring in 1975. She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed cooking, reading and ceramics.

Beloved wife of the late Clinton A. Mother of Michael Gibbs and his wife, Sally, of Buzzards Bay. Sister of Rose Barron of North Attleboro and the late Mary Grant, Walter, George, John, Joseph and Anthony Bucci. Aunt of Cynthia Jacobson of Hanson, Eleanor Grant of Plymouth, Marcia Silvestri of Plainville, Paula Barron of Florence, and Joan Smith of North Attleboro. Grandmother of Chad and Charles King.

A funeral mass was held Monday morning, April 15, in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Burial Furnace Village Cemetery, South Easton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Covenant House, 461 Eighth Ave., New York, NY 10001. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
