Orange Leaf festival to benefit Canton Little League
By Canton CitizenOrange Leaf Frozen Yogurt in Canton will hold a festival at its Cobb’s Corner location on Saturday, April 27, to raise money for Canton Little League and Girls Fast Pitch Softball to assist them in special projects, including constructing a new dugout at Duggan Field, erecting a new snack bar and restrooms at the Sullivan/Crawford fields (behind the Kennedy School), and purchasing defibrillators for all fields.
The festival will run from 1-5 p.m. and will feature live performances by several local bands on an outdoor stage, as well as face painters, balloon artists, and a special appearance by several of the New England Patriots cheerleaders, with a photo opportunity and autographs and none other than Pat Patriot himself!
The Canton Orange Leaf will donate 10 percent of all sales for the day to the two organizations, and no coupon is needed.
“Orange Leaf is a community-driven brand that loves to promote fun, and we wanted to do something to celebrate the spring season and to help raise money for a local great all-American cause,” said Gerry Pelissier, franchise owner of Orange Leaf in Canton. “When we heard that there are over 700 children involved in playing this great American pastime sport in our backyard and they needed help to build a snack bar as well as to purchase defibrillators, we knew we had to get involved in a big way. We love giving back to the community because they are so good to us.”
