Hill, Ruth E.
By Canton CitizenRuth E. Hill, 80, of Canton, passed away April 24 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston.
Born in Newport, VT, she was raised in Canada and moved to Canton as a teenager where she lived for the remainder of her life. She worked for Instron for 28 years before retiring in 1998.
Devoted daughter of the late Winifred and Elbur Hill Sr. Loving sister of Shirley Yetter of Canada, Leon Hill of Easton, Dorothy Vachon of Canada, and the late Frederick Hill and Elbur Hill Jr. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends invited to attend a memorial service at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street, on Saturday, May 4, at 11 a.m. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
