Kenefick, Albert R.

Albert R. Kenefick, 91, of Canton, passed away May 4 at the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton.

Born in Boston, he was a lifelong resident of Canton. He graduated from Canton High School and was a Marine Corps veteran of WWII. He was a self-employed Electrolux Vacuum Cleaner salesman for many years before retiring. He had his private pilot’s license and enjoyed flying from the old Canton Airport and Wiggin’s Airport in Norwood. He was an avid gardener and sports enthusiast.

Beloved husband of Lena H. (Giammarco). Father of Albert R. Kenefick Jr. and his wife, I-Shing, of CA, David A. Kenefick and his partner, Michael Toppan, of NH, Mary Jane Stanlaske of East Walpole, and John Kenefick and his wife, Heesong, of CA. Brother of Joyce Buckley of Canton and the late Francis Kenefick. Grandfather of Vikki Cunningham of East Walpole, Robert Stanlaske of PA, and Dylan Kenefick of CA. Also survived by five great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass was held Wednesday morning, May 8, in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
