Cammarata, Helen C.
By Canton CitizenHelen C. Cammarata (Perez), 84, passed away September 4 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born and raised in the North End of Boston, she moved to Canton in 1963. She worked at Cameron Sportswear in Boston for many years and was a member of the Sons of Italy and the Madonna Della Cava Society in the North End.
Beloved wife of the late Vincent J. “Jimmy.” Mother of Damian G. Cammarata and his wife, Joan, of Canton, Connie C. Sparks and her husband, Robert, of Canton, Vincent C. Cammarata and his wife, Linda, of FL, Maria T. Cammarata and her husband, Mark Byrne, of Canton, and Helenann Civian and her husband, Jamey, of Canton. Sister of Anthony, Richard and Jeanette Perez of the North End and Marie Ciccolella of Tewksbury and the late Lola Riciardi, Rose Bruno, Josie Tagilerri, Joseph, Benny, John, Frank and Ricky Perez. Grandmother of Caitlin, Mikaela, Nicholas, Hayley, Vincent, William, Mark, Cydney and Sara. Great-grandmother of Isabel, Vivian and Theodore. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass was held Saturday in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Burial St. Michael’s Cemetery, Roslindale. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Norfolk Adult Day Health Center, 595 Pleasant St., Norwood, MA 02062. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
