Sam Riemer competes in D2 golf finals

By

Sam Riemer shot an 88 and finished in a tie for 36th place in the Division 2 state golf finals, held last week at Blackstone National Golf Course in Sutton. Forty-three of the state’s top high school golfers competed in the tournament, with the winner shooting a one-over-par 73. CHS head golf coach Mike Barucci said Riemer played well on a very challenging course.

Barucci also announced the final Hockomock League averages and noted that Canton had five of the top 15 individual scores. Riemer had the fourth lowest average with a 39, followed by Mike Breviglia (39.7), Sam Hrubec (39.8), Brian Halloran (40), and Luke Thompson (40.6).
