Mayhew, Merton T.
By Canton CitizenMerton T. Mayhew Jr., 71, of Canton, died Saturday, February 8, 2014, in the home of his daughter and son-in-law in Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania.
Born in Canton on August 13, 1942, to the late Merton T. Mayhew Sr. and Mary (Spierdowis), Merton was a night manager and bartender for 40 years at the Canton Town Club. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton and lettered in sports at Canton High School. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Merton enjoyed woodworking.
Beloved father of Christy Anna (Kennett) Skopal and her husband, Thomas Jr., with whom he resided, and their children, Liam and Marc. Sister of Mary Robbins of ME. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass was held Wednesday morning, February 12, in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
