Sullivan, Grace P.
By Canton CitizenGrace P. Sullivan (Pitts), 84, of Canton, passed away peacefully on February 9 at the Life Care Center of West Bridgewater surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Boston, she was raised in Arlington and graduated from Arlington High School in 1947. She and her siblings were avid Bruins fans and were season ticket holders for over 30 years. When Grace was a child she enjoyed spending time on the tugboats in Boston Harbor with her father. Grace and her husband, Ted, loved going out in Boston and dancing.
In her early years she worked for John Hancock as a secretary. Grace was a devoted housewife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing board games and was the family scrabble champion. She has lived in Canton for over 30 years where she was a dedicated parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church and the Canton Catholic Women’s Club.
Beloved wife of the late Theodore V. Mother of Patrice Fillebrown and her husband, Al, of Abington, Cheryl Pooler and her husband, James, of Bridgewater, Shawn Camuso Sullivan and his wife, Lorraine, of Stoughton, Brendan Sullivan and his wife, Christine, of Randolph, Brian Sullivan and his wife, Marianne, of Stoughton, Colin Sullivan and his wife, Francesca, of Norton, and the late Priscilla and Barry Sullivan. Mother-in-law of Rene Sullivan of Stoughton. Sister of Florence Burke and her husband, Paul, of Norwood, and Priscilla Pitts of Arlington. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
A funeral mass will be held Thursday, February 13, at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
