Donato, Vincenzo E.

Vincenzo E. (“Enzo”) Donato, 72, of Canton and Clearwater, Florida, died peacefully May 29, 2014, after a long illness.

Raised in Tunisia, he came to America in 1958. Before retirement he worked as a classically trained executive chef; he prepared meals for many famous and notable persons over his career.

He was a charismatic individual who spoke five languages fluently. He will be remembered for his love to entertain with his cooking, a true “rock star chef” before the term even existed.

Former husband of Agatha I. (“Ida”) Vetrano. Loving father of Antoinette Haas and her husband, Stephen, and Antonino Donato and his wife, Melisa, all of Canton. Brother of Mary Sala of NC and the late Catherine Morello and Clara LoPiccolo. Proud grandfather of Deanna Haas, Derek Haas, Rocco Donato and Maksim Donato.

Funeral services were private. Arrangements by the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street.
