Annual Reebok Canton Road Race set for Sunday
By Canton CitizenHundreds of runners will descend on Reebok world headquarters this coming Sunday, October 5, for the 10th annual Reebok Canton Road Race.
A popular fall tradition in Canton, the road race serves as the primary fundraiser for the Canton Association of Business and Industry (CABI), with 100 percent of all proceeds going to local nonprofit groups, including the Canton Food Pantry, the Massachusetts Hospital School, and the Canton Police and Fire departments.
This year’s event will once again feature three distances: a 5k and 10k, which both start and finish at Reebok headquarters, and a one-mile kids’ race on the Reebok track. There will also be a one-mile wheelchair race, and prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age group for both males and females.
Registration opens at 7:15 a.m. at the Reebok International Corporate Store. The event will conclude at 10 a.m. with a post-race celebration, including free refreshments, a silent auction, and an award ceremony. Runners who register for either the 5k or 10k will also receive 50 percent off their entire purchase at the Reebok Corporate Store.
