Canton High students complete Entrepreneurs Challenge

After earning the approval of their peers in a class-wide business plan competition, the top performing teams in Canton High School’s business economics classes pitched their ideas to local professionals at the 2015 CHS Entrepreneurs Challenge Fair, held on Wednesday, April 1, in the school library.

Alexa Barrows, Courtney Dodge, Marissa Pati and Jimmy Hamrock field questions from judges Dennis McCarthy, Mark Porter and Stephen Costello.

Nine teams of students participated and the overall winner was Green U, a health-conscious café proposed by Megan Breviglia, Brooke Harney, Spencer Cox and Bart O’Brien.

Canton High School would like to thank the local business community and the Canton Association of Business and Industry (CABI) for their support. Participating judges included Stephen Cesso, U.S. General Counsel, Computershare; Stephen Costello, President & CEO, Bank of Canton; Ron Kendall, President, Buffalo Lodging Associates; Andrea McCullough, Senior Manager/Global Strategy, Dunkin’ Brands; Dennis McCarthy, Director of Finance, Dunkin’ Brands; Mark Porter, CFP, Northeast Planning Associates; Ed Amico, CHS Career Planning Coordinator; and Det. Chip Yeaton, CHS School Resource Officer.
