After knocking off #14 Dover-Sherborn in the preliminary round of the Division 3 south sectional tournament, the 19th seeded CHS boys’ basketball team came within a few points of pulling off an improbable upset over #3 Cardinal Spellman Wednesday night, March 2, in Brockton.

The game was tied with less than a minute to play, but Spellman converted a late score and then held on for the 57-53 win. The Bulldogs were led by sharpshooter Joe McCabe, who finished with a team-high 26 points in the loss.
