Both hockey teams eliminated

Both the CHS boys’ and girls’ ice hockey teams were eliminated from postseason play over the weekend in the quarterfinal round of their respective Division 2 tournaments. The boys, who last year captured the D2 state championship, fell in overtime Saturday to familiar foe Oliver Ames 2-1 at Gallo Ice Arena in Buzzards Bay. They finished with a final record of 15-4-2.

As for the girls, they ran into a juggernaut Sunday in Foxboro, losing to the second seeded Duxbury Dragons 7-0 to end their season at 12-7-3.

See this week’s Citizen for complete coverage of both games. Also, check the website on Thursday for expanded photo coverage.
