Congratulations to NENPA award recipient

The New England Newspaper & Press Association is aware of what the subscribers of the Canton Citizen have appreciated for years: that’s the fine journalistic work of Jay Turner. Congratulations to Mr. Turner for his second consecutive NENPA writing award, this one for a first-place prize in the Spot News category for weekly newspapers.

A local paper is the heart of communication when it comes to community news. In so many informative ways, it lets us know who our neighbors are and their stories. People of Canton are indeed fortunate to have a writer, and now a managing editor, who can bring such stories to our attention.
