Former CHS cheerleader renamed to Pats squad
By Canton CitizenFollowing a six-week audition process that began with open auditions and concluded with the annual Patriots Cheerleaders Boot Camp, the 2017 New England Patriots cheerleaders have been selected and Canton native Alyssa Crane has once again made the team.
A former Canton High School cheerleader, Crane graduated in 2011 and went on to attend the University of New Hampshire, where she earned a degree in business management. As a member of last year’s Patriots cheerleading squad, Crane cheered at all of the regular season home games as well as two home playoff games and Super Bowl LI in Houston, which ended with a thrilling comeback victory and the Pats hoisting their fifth Lombardi trophy.
In addition to performing in front of nearly 70,000 fans, a spot on the Patriots cheerleading squad can provide many exciting opportunities. Patriots cheerleaders have also visited deployed military troops in more than 25 countries, supported many charitable organizations and local businesses, and appeared on local and national television.
