Winter Tournament Photos

It was a tough week for Canton High sports as all four tournament teams were eliminated over a span of five days last week.
Even in defeat, however, there were plenty of bright spots, including the boys’ basketball team’s near upset of No. 3 Cardinal Spellman, or the boys’ hockey team’s dominant second period in its 2-1 overtime loss to Oliver Ames. Both the boys’ hoops and girls’ hockey teams also snagged upset wins in the opening rounds of their respective tourneys, while the girls’ basketball team finished with its first winning record in several seasons.
Congratulations to all of Canton High School’s winter athletes, and don’t forget to keep an eye out for the Citizen’s winter sports wrap-up issue, which hits newstands later this month.
