Mendes, Dennis M.

Dennis M. Mendes, 61, of Taunton, died Monday, August 28, 2017, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI.

Born in Wareham, he was the son of Elizabeth (DaSilva) and Manuel Mendes, Jr. of Canton. He graduated from Canton High School in 1975. Dennis was a salesman in the women’s shoe department at Saks Fifth Avenue department store in Copley Square for many years. He retired in 2012.

Dennis was a member of the New England Rose Society and was an avid gardener and rose grower. He loved to travel and also enjoyed going to the beach, tennis, golf, dancing, and riding bicycles. Dennis also loved all the Boston sports teams and enjoyed photography and taking pictures of birds …
