Comments welcome

The Citizen would like to encourage all readers to share their thoughts, ideas and reactions through the comments section available below most articles, columns and photo slideshows. Simply type your message in the comment box and click on “post comment.” You will then be prompted to provide your name and email address (which will not be visible on the website, nor will it be shared with any third party).

The email address is simply a way to identify the user, as all first-time comments are held for moderation. After initial approval, however, all subsequent comments will be posted immediately.

The Citizen respectfully requests that commenters observe the following rules:

1. Please limit your comments to the subject of the post.

2. Please use a respectful and appropriate tone, and DO NOT use offensive or explicit language of any kind.

3. You are entitled to your own opinion, but please refrain from lodging any personal attacks or insults.

4. The Citizen has ZERO tolerance for racism, sexism, or bigotry of any kind.

5. Permission to comment can be revoked at any time for any reason.
