Cochis, Ethel G.

Ethel G. Cochis, 89, of Randolph, passed away December 22 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth.

Born in Boston, she was raised in Roxbury and attended the Nathan Hale Elementary School, Joseph Timilty School in Roxbury, and graduated from the High School of Practical Arts where she had perfect attendance. She worked for many years at her parents’ grocery store, Dudley Fruit Co., in Roxbury. She also was an usherette at the Boston Opera House for many years, a volunteer at the Songtime Ministry in Braintree, and a talented seamstress and taught sewing classes. She has lived in Randolph for over 50 years …
