Fitzpatrick, Paul D.

Paul D. Fitzpatrick, 55, of Canton, formerly of Cape Cod, passed away January 17 after a lengthy illness with his family by his side.

Paul, the youngest child of Arthur and Joan (MacEachern), was born in Medford. When Paul was a year old his family moved to Buffalo, NY, and lived there for the next 11 years. When he was in junior high his family moved to central Massachusetts, eventually ending up on Cape Cod where he graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School. After high school Paul explored many trades, from mason tending to color mixing at Colonial Candle, until he moved to West Virginia to learn the printing business with his brother Stephen. Paul eventually left West Virginia, moving to western NY where he met his wife, Ellen. Paul continued working in the printing business for many years until the opportunity presented itself to manage Hyannis Package Store and later Cotuit Liquors, where he worked until he retired.

Paul was an amazing father whose love for his daughters was evident by the sparkle in his eye whenever he spoke of Sarah or Molly …
