By Canton CitizenThomas E. Callahan, 87, of Canton, passed away March 10 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, he graduated from South Division High School in Milwaukee, St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing, and went on to receive his BA from Boston College and his MBA from Boston University. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He worked as a nursing administrator for the Brockton VA for many years before retiring. He was an active member of St. Gerard Majella Church and a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Braintree and the Mass Nurses Association.
Beloved husband of the late Patricia A. (Clark). Father of Marie T. Milano and her husband, Anthony, of Weymouth, Thomas G. Callahan and his wife, Mary, of South Easton, Kevin P. Callahan and his wife, Annie, of Lynn, Patricia A. Dransfield and her husband, Daniel, of Hanson, Christin M. Lee of Canton, Clare M. Carvalho and her husband, Octavio, of Weymouth, John R. Callahan and his wife, Edneia, of Rockland, and Paul C. Callahan of Canton. Brother of the late Robert and John Callahan. Grandfather of Caitlin, Bridget, Patrick, Nolan, Megan, Ava, Patricia, Andrew and Liam. Great-grandfather of Forrest Tessier and Keira Callahan.
Funeral mass in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton Thursday (today) at 10 a.m. Burial St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. Donations may be made in his memory to My Brother’s Keeper, P.O.
