Canton entrepreneur honored by U.S. SBA
By Canton CitizenSuvarcha Madan, president of ComforCare Home Care in Canton, has been named Minority Small Business Owner of the Year for Massachusetts by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Madan is among a select group of Bay State entrepreneurs who are being honored this year in celebration of National Small Business Week (April 29 to May 5).
“We are honored to recognize this year’s awardees from all over the commonwealth — each demonstrating through their individual paths to success, a passion not only for their businesses, but also for their employees,” said SBA Massachusetts District Director Bob Nelson. “It is for this reason why we take this time during Small Business Week to applaud not only our amazing winners and champions, but all small businesses for what they collectively do to grow jobs and build vibrant communities.”
As part of National Small Business Week, the U.S. Small Business Administration takes the opportunity to highlight the impact of outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others from all 50 states and U.S. territories. Every day, they’re working to grow small businesses, create 21st-century jobs, drive innovation, and increase America’s global competitiveness.
Massachusetts awardees will be honored at the annual Small Business Week Awards Luncheon co-hosted by the Boston SCORE Chapter at the Sheraton Needham Hotel on Friday, May 4. For more information about the event, please see the public invitation available at www.sba.gov/offices/district/ma/boston.
