Brenner, Adelle M.
By Canton CitizenAdelle “Del” Marilyn Brenner (Koretsky), 83, of Canton, formerly of Codman Square, Dorchester, daughter of the late Harry Koretsky and Gertrude Zatz, sister of the late Harold Koretsky, and Pauline Falkof, wife of 59 years to the late Benjamin (Ben), mother of Gary, Brenda and her longtime partner, Victor, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Adelle worked as a bookkeeper as well as a fit and hand model in Boston’s Garment District. She was a longtime member of Temple Beth Abraham in Canton, a frequent bingo and card player, bowler, knitter, a volunteer for many organizations, a world traveler, and she loved her Westerns. She was an active member of The George Brenner Association, whose family members convened, yearly, for over 60 years. Along with her late husband, Adelle was a lifetime patron and supporter of the arts, especially for Riverside Theatre Works in Hyde Park.
Chapel service was held at Schlossberg & Solomon Memorial Chapel, 824 Washington St., Canton on Wednesday, June 27. Interment was at Independent Workmens Circle Cemetery, West Roxbury. Memorial visitation at her residence on Thursday, June 28, after 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Adelle and Benjamin Brenner Camp Scholarship Fund at the West End House Camp, 105 Allston St., Allston, MA 02134, which sends worthy candidates to the West End House summer camp in Maine, or to Riverside Theatre Works, www.RTWBoston.org, which provides scholarships for high school-age children and younger to study performance and art.
