CABI holds meet and greet at Dunkin’ Brands HQ

As an attorney specializing in estate planning with just a couple of staff members, Brian Mahoney didn’t think he would be accepted as a member of the Canton Association of Business & Industry (CABI), let alone go on to serve as the association’s president one day. There was a time years ago when he thought only large companies could be members of CABI.

Mahoney shared those insights at the association’s spring meet and greet event at the Dunkin’ Brands Royall Street office complex recently, where attendees represented a wide variety of companies and organizations, both small and large.

Mahoney and Jason Maceda, senior vice president for Baskin-Robbins U.S. and Canada (formerly vice president, U.S. financial planning & field treasury for Dunkin’ Brands), began the meeting by welcoming members and guests.

Maceda shared several examples of how Dunkin’ Brands’ business has benefited from its CABI membership, acknowledging relationships with several members in the room. He even credited CABI with helping with his personal life, gesturing toward attendee Azeddine Fadli, who became his realtor.

One of CABI’s newer members is global healthcare company Fresenius Kabi. The company is new to Canton and has already been giving back by supporting local organizations, including the Canton Food Pantry and Senior Center.

Reiser is another member who recently joined CABI, and John McIssaac, the company’s vice president of business development, shared his thoughts about getting to know the group.
