Saia, Frank J.

Frank J. Saia, 94, of Roxbury, passed away August 26 at the Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood.

Born in Boston, he attended Boston schools and was a lifelong resident of Roxbury. He worked for the city of Boston Parking Department in meter maintenance for many years before retiring and was a member of the Castle Island Associates.

Beloved husband of the late Blanche I. (Casciottolo). Father of Brian Saia and his wife, Clare, of Canton. Grandfather of Jonathan Saia of Canton. He was predeceased by six brothers and two sisters. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street, Thursday, August 30, from 6-8 p.m. Relatives and friends invited to attend a funeral service at the funeral home Friday at 10 a.m. Burial St. Michael’s Cemetery, Roslindale.
