Twohig, Edward L.
By Canton CitizenEdward L. Twohig Jr., 83, of Sandwich, formerly of Canton, died March 31, 2011, in Cape Cod Hospital following a long illness.
He was a proud Navy veteran of WWII and a retired Boston Police detective, serving for over 35 years until retiring in 1988. He was also a past member of the Canton Town Club.
Beloved husband of Mary C. (Maloney). Loving father of Susan Twohig of Boston, Edward Twohig III of Essex, VT, Janet Frongillo and her husband, Richard, of Bedford, NH, and the late Ann Marie Twohig. Proud grandfather of Rachel Tripp and John, Thomas and William Frongillo.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday morning, April 4, in St. John the Evangelist Church, Canton. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery. Donations in Ed’s memory may be made to the Boston Medical Center, 1 Boston Medical Center Place, Boston, MA 02118, with special thanks for the care given by Dr. Charles Tifft. Arrangements by the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street.
