McManus, Paul J.
By Canton CitizenPaul J. McManus, 60, of Cambridge, formerly of Canton, passed away December 21 at Cambridge Hospital.
Born in Boston, he was raised in Canton and attended St. John the Evangelist School and graduated from Canton High School, Class of 1976. Paul attended Stonehill College and previously worked for IBM in Boston before opening a nursery and landscaping business, McManus Country Gardens in Norwood. Most recently, Paul worked as the assistant hardware manager at Tagg’s Hardware in Davis Square, Cambridge.
Paul was previously an altar server and Eucharistic minister at St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton and was a former member of the Canton Town Club. In his spare time he enjoyed landscaping, golfing and fishing.
Father of Christopher M. McManus of Dedham and Brendan P. McManus of Somerville. Beloved son of Paul and Mary McManus of Canton. Brother of Susan and Mary McManus, both of Canton. Dear friend of Priscilla Flynn of Franklin. Beloved nephew of Janet McManus of Mashpee, John Sheehan of Carver, Paul Sheehan, David Sheehan and Peter Flynn of Cummaquid. Also survived by his former wife, Lois McManus, of Canton.
