By Canton CitizenNancy McNeil White, 74, of Milford, formerly of Canton, passed away April 15 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Edward for almost 50 years. Daughter of the late Leo and Ruth McNeil, she was born in Boston and raised in Canton.
She was a graduate of St. John’s School and Canton High School. She then worked for the New Haven Railroad, which led her to meeting her husband of 49 years.
Nancy was a longtime communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Milford where she also served as a Eucharistic minister and a CCD teacher. She also worked for Primary Home Care for many years.
Along with her beloved husband, Nancy is survived by her four children: Edward H. White Jr. and his wife, Andrea, of Medway, Tracey, wife of Michael Bonita of Milford, Tara, wife of Jay Mullen of Douglas, and Lisa, wife of Vincent Farese of Hopedale. She was the loving Nana of Edward III, Elizabeth, Christian, Amanda, Antonia, Camille, Grace and Angelina. She was the sister of Maureen and Paul D’Attanasio, Dottie and Joe Kelleher, Paula and Paul McCarthy, and Terri and Steve Ivanoski, all of Canton, Kathy and Pat McCarthy of Mattapoisett, Leo McNeil Jr. and Ginny of Franklin, and the late Jeanne McNeil. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, a private family service will be held with a celebration of Nancy’s life to be held at a later date. Interment will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary of the Assumption Church Renovation Fund, c/o St. Mary’s Church Offices, 17 Winter St., Milford, MA 01757.
