McGarrett, Agnes C.

Agnes C. McGarrett (Rock), 87, formerly of Canton, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away July 29 at the Bowling Green Retirement Village. Born and raised in Roslindale, she graduated from Roslindale High School. She was married in 1947, and she and her husband moved to Canton in 1950 where she lived until February 2011.

She was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church and a member of Sharon Country Club. Beloved wife of the late William S. Mother of William J. McGarrett of VA, Laura McGarrett Bowers of KY, Andrew P. McGarrett of TX, and the late Janis M. O’Reilly. Also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Raymond O’Reilly.

A funeral mass was held Wednesday morning, August 3, in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Agnes’ memory to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements by the Dockray and Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
