Gerald P. Bagley, 56, of Canton, passed away surrounded by his loving family August 4 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Boston, he graduated from Brighton High School and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked as an electric station operator for the MWRA for 24 years and was a member of the MWRA union and the National Association of Government Employees.

Beloved husband of Margaret A. (Barrett). Father of Mairead E. and Matthew R. Bagley, both of Canton. Son of Patricia A. Bagley (O’Donnell) of Roslindale and the late Gerald P. Brother of Mary Lou McLaughlin and her husband, James, Kenneth Bagley, Douglas Bagley and his wife, Christine, and Stephen Bagley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass was held Monday morning, August 8, in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Interment Canton Corner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the St. Gerard Majella CYO Outreach Program, 1860 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
